Please note: In order to access your Archived Emails directly inside of Outlook, you need to have the MailStore addon installed on your computer.

If you open Outlook and DO NOT have a "MailStore" option like below, please contact itsupport@rbservices.co.nz 



If you do have a "MailStore" option, please follow the below steps to access your archived emails.


1. Click on the "MailStore" tab at the top of the Outlook menu.

2. Click on "Advanced Search".

The purpose of the Advanced Search is to give you the ability to narrow down and speed up your search by entering information into various fields. The more information you enter, the faster and more accurate your search will be. See below for a breakdown of each field: "Search For:"

Enter any keyword, email address or attachment name. Narrow it down further by only having a specific selection ticked.

"Folder:"

Click the button with 3 dots to choose which folder you want to search in. 

By default, it will search inside all folders.

"From:"

Enter a specific email address or part of an email address.

 

"To/CC/Bcc:"

Enter a specific email address or part of an email address.

"Date:"

Choose when you believe the email was received.

By default, it will search all dates.

"Archiving Date:"

Choose when you believe the email was archived.

Normally this is left as default.

"Messages"

Choose whether the email should contain an attachment or not.

By default, it will search with and without attachments.

"Size:"

Choose whether it was a large email or small email.

Normally this is left as default. 

"Priority:"

Choose whether this email was flagged as a high or low priority. 

Normally this is left as default.

Once you have found the archived email, you can do the following:

  • Open the Message
    • Open the email, giving you the ability to reply or forward the email.
  • Restore the Message
    • Restore the email directly back into your email inbox. 
  • Print the Message

These functions can be performed by clicking on the corresponding button at the top of Outlook.
